INGREDIENTS

self-raising flour

Pinch of salt

2 tsp (10ml)
Hinds Spices Pure Ground Ginger

½ tsp (2.5ml)
Buffalo Bicarbonate of Soda

sugar
▢
60g
butter
▢
60g
golden syrup
▢
3 Tbsp (45ml)
Hinds Spices Cinnamon
mixed with sugar
METHOD
Sieve together the flour, salt, Hinds Spices Pure Ground Ginger and Buffalo Bicarbonate of Soda.
Add the sugar and rub in the butter.
Slightly warm the syrup and add to the mixture. Mix well to form a stiff paste.
Wrap and refrigerate for
30 minutes
.
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the biscuit dough and, using Christmas-themed cookie cutters, cut out shapes.
Place them onto a lined baking tray. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and bake at 180° C for
10 minutes
.
Remove from the oven and set aside to cool.
