Spicy Bean Dip (Lunch Spread)

  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 tsp Hinds Spices Paprika
  • 2 tsp Hinds Spices Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 x 410g can Rhodes Quality Butter Beans in Brine, drained
  • 3 medium tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 large red pepper, deseeded and diced
  • fresh coriander for garnishing


  • Heat oil in a large frying pan, fry the onion and garlic for 2 minutes,add the Hinds Spices Paprika, the Hinds Spices Cayenne Pepper and Rhodes Quality Tomato Paste and fry for a further minute. Add the Rhodes Quality Butter Beans, tomatoes, and pepper and saut√© for 10 minutes.
  • Set aside to cool. Place half the bean mixture into a food processor and process until smooth. Fold the smooth mixture into the remaining bean mix and mix well. Serve garnished with fresh coriander.
