- 4 cups cake flour
- 10g instant yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 1¾ cups warm water
- 3 Tbsp chutney
- 200g grated cheddar cheese
- 1 onion, sliced into rings
- 2 tomatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 Tbsp Hinds Spices Mixed Herbs
- Salt and pepper for seasoning
METHOD
- Sift the cake flour then add the yeast, salt and sugar. Add to the warm water and mix to form a dough. Knead and set aside. Divide into 8 balls and shape into small rolls.
- Braai for 5 minutes on each side or until golden and cooked through.
- Cut the braai broodjies in half, spread one half with chutney, top with cheese, a slice of onion and tomato. Sprinkle over Hinds Spices Mixed Herbs and season with salt and pepper. Braai for further 5-10 minutes until the cheese has melted.
