Braaied Lemon & Garlic Prawns with Garlic Aioli

- 1kg (kg) large prawns, heads removed Â
- 50ml (ml) olive oil
- 2 tsp (10ml) Hinds Spices Peri-Peri Spice
- 2 tsp (10ml) Hinds Spices Southern Grill All-In-One Seasoning
- 2 tsp (10ml) Hinds Spices Mixed Herbs
- 2 tsp (10ml) Hinds Spices Crushed Chillies
- Zest and juice of 1 lemon
For Aioli
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 clove of garlic, peeled & crushed
- ½ the juice of a lemon
- 2.5 ml salt
- 2.5 ml Hinds Spices Paprika
- ½ cup sunflower oil
METHOD
- Soak skewers in water for 10 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix the olive oil, the Hinds Spices Peri-Peri Spice, Hinds Spices Southern Grill All in One Seasoning, Hinds Spices Mixed Herbs, Hinds Spices Crushed Chillies, lemon zest and juice together.
- Add the prawns and marinate for 10 minutes in the fridge.
- Place 5 prawns onto a skewer, repeat.
- Braai on a hot braai for 5 minutes, turning halfway.
- Serve with lemon and garlic Aioli.
To make Aioli
- In a blender or with a whisk, mix the egg yolk, lemon juice, garlic, paprika and salt.
- Slowly drizzle the oil in while blending or mixing until it thickens to form a mayonnaise.
