- 3 Tbsp oil
- 1 large onion, cut in chunks
- ½ of a red, yellow and green pepper, cut into chunks
- 1 tsp garlic, crushed
- 1 tsp Hinds Spices Crushed Chillies
- 2 tsp Hinds Spices Mild and Spicy Curry Powder
- 2 tsp Hinds Spices Turmeric
- 2 tsp Hinds Spices Mixed Herbs
- 5 large carrots, grated
- season with Salt
- season with Hinds Spices Pure Black Pepper
- 1 x can Rhodes Quality Baked Beans
- 1 x can Rhodes Quality Chakalaka
- 2 Tbsp tomato sauce
METHOD
- Heat oil in a wok on medium heat, add onion and peppers and gently cook until soft for about 4 minutes. Add all of the spices together and cook for about 1 minute or until fragrant. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute or until fragrant.
- Add the carrots and cook until just soft, add the can of Rhodes Quality Chakalaka and cook together for about 7 minutes. Add the Rhodes Quality Baked Beans, tomato sauce, salt and Hinds Spices Pure Black Pepper, stir to combine and simmer for a further 5 minutes. You are ready to serve over some pap with braai meat.
